In early 2019, I was given the very tall task of completing the Athletics Department brand guide – a project I had been prepping information for over the previous year. With a new administration, our goal was to set the year off by curtailing all of the confusion and misuses surrounding the visual assets of our brand. This would be the first Athletics brand guide during my tenure in the department – having only the University’s style guide to work from. As the department’s unofficial (yet official) Brand Manager, I relied on my six years-worth of knowledge and experience to both write and design the Texas A&M Athletics Visual Guide. In addition to the in-depth explanations and examples, this visual guide also includes nearly 100 downloadable assets.

Department leaders also had a chance to contribute to the visual guide by providing their feedback in
a few weekly Communications meetings.

With some help from our Digital Media Team, our visual guide launched on 12thman.com via Adobe Spark in February 2019 and has become an essential resource for our Athletics staff, as well as our partners and vendors.
